Saudi Arabia is opening its doors to the world through its new tourist visa. Through our fast and easy-to-use online portal, international visitors from eligible countries can apply for an eVisa and discover the warm hospitality of Saudi people: our rich heritage, vibrant culture, and diverse and breathtaking landscapes, from the mountains of Abha to the beaches of the Red Sea to the shifting sands of the Empty Quarter.
The visit visa only allows you to partake in tourism-related activities, and perform Umrah. It excludes all other activities, e.g. working and studying.
It is possible to apply for Umrah through the visit visa. Bear in mind that Umrah cannot be performed during Hajj season. To perform Hajj, you must apply for a specific visa with the Ministry of Hajj. Unaccompanied females are allowed to perform Umrah using the visit visa, and do not need a male relative to do so.
Only Muslims are allowed to visit the city of Makkah.
The tourist visa allows you to stay for up to 3 months per entry, spending not more than 180 days/year in Saudi Arabia. If you leave the country past your visa period, you shall pay a penalty of SAR 100 per day.
The Saudi Arabia tourist visa is valid for one year with multiple entries.
The visit visa may not be extended. In order to continue to visit KSA as a tourist, it is necessary to leave the country and apply for a new visit visa.
You need to wait for your visa to expire and re-apply for a new visa.
